Hi Roger, yes. This is an older article and mobility restrictions no longer apply to either Torrevieja or Orihuela Costa.

Hi Steve, yes, your wife will be allowed to collect you from the airport and return home (travel for work purposes is expressly permitted). Please make sure you BOTH have details of your travel arrangements to hand before you travel so that you can document your reasons for travel if requested by authorities en-route.

Hi Steven, yes, you can travel from Catral to Guardamar at the weekend. Neither municipal area is subject to weekend restrictions.

Hi HF, we do not currently have a lockdown. Spain has only experienced one lockdown with residents confined to their homes, and this ended on 2nd May 2020. Current mobility restrictions affecting the cities of Orihuela (including Orihuela Costa) and Torrevieja are due to expire on Monday 1st March 2021.

Hi Allison, most taxi companies are offering a reduced service at the moment. You might be best advised to pre-book your taxi before you arrive here in Spain. Just Google “Taxis” plus your destination (for instance “taxis la zenia”) and you´ll find plenty of reputable taxi firms that can help you out.
