THE LARGEST SPORTING event in Orihuela Costa takes to the beach for the first time this summer, as La Zenia hosts the Revolution 1920 volleyball tournament later this month.
The mammoth National Beach Volleyball Circuit is the official event of the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation (RFEVB).
The competition started in Madrid this past April, and the circuit will visit 17 locations throughout the country culminating in the grand finale in October.
More than 1,200 competitors will fight for the championship and a grand cash prize, with almost 100 participants from the men's and women's categories competing in the 9th stage of the national competition.
