THE SPANISH RED CROSS (Cruz Roja Española) is hosting a non-stop charity Yoga Marathon on Playa Flamenca beach in Orihuela Costa next month.
The event aims to unite families, adults of all generations, and young people, to participate in a fun and energetic event, and show their support for the work of the Spanish Red Cross.
Experienced local yoga instructors will volunteer their time, and offer continuous yoga sessions for six consecutive hours.
Open to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level, visitors can participate in any (or all) of the sessions by making a donation in the collection boxes set up by the Spanish Red Cross on the Flamenca Beach esplanade.
These donations will help support projects aimed at combating loneliness within the community.
The charity Yoga Marathon will combine sport, emotional well-being, and solidarity, and the Spanish Red Cross will set up an information stand on Playa Flamenca's esplanade where volunteers will encourage participation and collect donations.

In addition, the organisation will have blood pressure checks available for visitors who need them, and will offer advice and recommendations on health and emotional well-being.
The Spanish Red Cross is part of the world's largest humanitarian movement. It collaborates with public and private entities to ensure that aid reaches everyone who needs it, wherever and whenever they need it.
Its mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold respect for human dignity. You can find out more about the charity from the official Facebook page.
The charity Yoga Marathon takes place on Saturday 11th April 2026, at Cala Estaca beach from 09:00 until 15:00. Tap here for a Google Map.
Bring your energy, your workout gear, a yoga mat or towel, and a donation that can make a big difference. Every Euro counts.
